Apr\u00e8s la superstar Elton John<\/strong> qui a sorti derni\u00e8rement The Lockdown Sessions, c\u2019est au tour d\u2019Ed Sheeran <\/strong>de nous livrer sa nouvelle \u0153uvre\u00a0: Equals. Ce vendredi a donc sign\u00e9 la fin d\u2019une longue p\u00e9riode d\u2019attente pour tous les fans du chanteur qui n\u2019avait pas sorti de v\u00e9ritable album solo depuis 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ed Sheeran<\/strong> nous annon\u00e7ait le 19 ao\u00fbt dernier sur son compte Instagram la sortie de son 4\u00e8me <\/sup>album studio nomm\u00e9 Equals<\/em>. Il confiait \u00e0 cette p\u00e9riode \u00ab\u00a0ne jamais avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi fier d\u2019une \u0153uvre\u00a0\u00bb. Et pourtant, ses pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents projets sont de v\u00e9ritables classiques, tous ayant marqu\u00e9 de leurs empreintes des millions d\u2019auditeurs \u00e0 travers le monde gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des tubes incontournables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour ce nouvel opus, l\u2019artiste britannique reprend des codes visuels d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien \u00e9tablis dans sa discographie. On retrouve notamment l\u2019utilisation d\u2019une couleur dominante ainsi que d\u2019un signe bien distinct. Il affirmait \u00e0 ce sujet\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je veux qu’on se rappelle chacun de mes albums. Chaque disque est reli\u00e9 \u00e0 un symbole ou \u00e0 une couleur. Pour “Equals<\/em>” c’est le “=”, et pour les autres disques, c’est autre chose\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u2019un point de vue musical, cet album a \u00e9clos tout au long de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 tel un papillon dans sa chrysalide, port\u00e9 par les singles \u00ab\u00a0Bad Habits<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0Visiting Hours<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb. Aujourd\u2019hui r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 au grand jour, ces 14 titres nous offre une parfaite symbiose entre balades pop-rock, sonorit\u00e9s \u00e9lectro et morceaux plus calmes qui sauront faire leur effet en version acoustique ou lors de concerts. Chaque piste propose son originalit\u00e9 tout en gardant une coh\u00e9rence globale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certains morceaux nous replongent dans l\u2019univers des anciens albums d\u2019Ed Sheeran<\/strong>, d\u2019autres sont clairement la marque d\u2019une \u00e9volution. Et c\u2019est \u00e7a qui est g\u00e9nial avec Equals<\/em>, il repr\u00e9sente l\u2019\u00e9quation r\u00e9ussie entre pass\u00e9 et pr\u00e9sent, mais aussi l\u2019\u00e9quation parfaite d\u2019une premi\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie de carri\u00e8re qui a propuls\u00e9 l\u2019artiste au rang de star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La tourn\u00e9e internationale \u00ab\u00a0+ – = \u00f7 x Tour\u00a0\u00bb (The Mathematics Tour) sera l\u2019occasion de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer cet album en live. Deux dates sont pr\u00e9vues au Stade de France les 29 et 30 juillet prochains. Et pour ce qui est de la suite, pas d’inqui\u00e9tude, son manager Stuart Camp l\u2019affirme\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Il n’y aura pas \u00e0 nouveau 4 ans d’attente\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
