Apr\u00e8s la sortie de son album ‘Wasteland’ en juillet 2022 et l\u2019annonce en avril d\u2019une tourn\u00e9e mondiale pr\u00e9nomm\u00e9e F*ck The World, It\u2019s A Wasteland Tour, c’est le dimanche 19 novembre que le chanteur Brent Faiyaz<\/strong> s’est produit \u00e0 L\u2019Elys\u00e9e Montmartre \u00e0 Paris. Revenons ainsi sur l\u2019un des concerts les plus attendus par les fans fran\u00e7ais de R&B. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La premi\u00e8re partie du concert de Brent Faiyaz<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 tenu par un artiste venant de Virginia Beach, appel\u00e9 Tommy Richman<\/strong>, qui est aussi un ami du chanteur. Il nous a interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 des morceaux issus de son dernier EP ‘The Rush’, sorti cette ann\u00e9e, pendant environ 30 minutes. Il \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s connect\u00e9 au public, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 en passer le micro \u00e0 une fille afin qu\u2019elle puisse chanter un de ses couplets avec lui ! Son passage a insuffl\u00e9 une excellente atmosph\u00e8re dans la salle, ce qui nous a bien \u00e9chauff\u00e9 pour la suite du concert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est apr\u00e8s une trentaine de minutes d\u2019attentes que le show de Brent <\/strong>commence. Il est introduit par ses musiciens qui jouent ‘VILLAIN\u2019S THEME’, l\u2019intro de l\u2019album ‘Wasteland’. S\u2019en suit donc l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de Brent Faiyaz<\/strong> sur sc\u00e8ne. Il arrive de l\u2019arri\u00e8re de la sc\u00e8ne et commence \u00e0 jouer dans un premier temps ‘LOOSE CHANGE’ puis enchaine avec ‘Clouded’ et ‘Been Away’ provenant de l\u2019album F*ck The World. L\u2019enchainement de ces trois morceaux a mis tout le monde d\u2019accord mais \u00e7a ne s\u2019arr\u00eate pas l\u00e0. En effet, il continue son concert en chantant des morceaux provenant de ses albums comme ‘ROLLING STONE’, ‘GRAVITY’ en featuring avec Tyler, The Creator<\/strong>, ‘ALL MINE’ ou encore ‘DEAD MAN WALKING’ pour Wasteland (pour ne citer qu\u2019eux). En ce qui concerne F*ck The World proprement dit, il a notamment jou\u00e9 Rehab (obvious vu que nous \u00e9tions \u00e0 Paris). Il a d\u2019ailleurs jou\u00e9 ses singles comme ‘Poison’ ainsi que des featurings qu\u2019il a eu sur d\u2019autres projets comme le bien connu ‘Lost Souls’ avec Baby Keem<\/strong> ou encore ‘Fell In Love’ avec Marshmello<\/strong>. La tracklist a \u00e9t\u00e9 plut\u00f4t bien choisie et le public \u00e9tait satisfait, du moins c\u2019est  ce que j’ai ressenti tout au long du show. Il y avait une certaine osmose entre le public et Brent Faiyaz<\/strong>, m\u00eame si, comme je l\u2019expliquerais ult\u00e9rieurement cette synergie m\u2019a paru quelque peu artificielle voire non partag\u00e9e par l\u2019artiste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme la plupart des personnes pr\u00e9sentes \u00e0 l\u2019Elys\u00e9e Montmartre, j\u2019attendais ce concert avec \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d\u2019impatience. Je m’y suis rendue en compagnie de mes amies et nous avons ressenti la m\u00eame sensation en sortant de la salle. En effet, m\u00eame si le concert s\u2019est vraiment bien pass\u00e9 nous l’avons trouv\u00e9 assez court. Le show n’a dur\u00e9 qu’une 1h05 (sans compter la premi\u00e8re partie) ce qui est un peu d\u00e9cevant car Brent Faiyaz<\/strong> pr\u00e9sente une discographie largement suffisante pour lui permettre d\u2019agr\u00e9menter d’au minimum une trentaine de minutes sa repr\u00e9sentation. En plus de cela, et je pense que beaucoup de gens ont d\u00fb avoir la m\u00eame r\u00e9flexion, il n\u2019a jou\u00e9 aucun son de Sonder<\/strong> (groupe dans lequel il chantait avant de se lancer en solo). Enfin, pour ma part, j\u2019ai vraiment eu l\u2019impression qu\u2019il n\u2019avait pas eu de connexion avec le public, du moins c\u2019\u00e9tait moins flagrant que Tommy Richman<\/strong> pendant la premi\u00e8re partie du concert. Mais cela ne change rien au fait que j\u2019ai tout de m\u00eame pass\u00e9 un bon moment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
